Byzantine Art in Other Works

Byzantine technique is not limited to religious iconography. It is an autonomous art with its own strength, its own aesthetics and meaning. A language that can speak about anyone and any subject.

In this collection I apply the timeless techniques of Byzantium to different sources of inspiration. But it is not simply a transfer of technique. Each work here is the result of my own unique reading, my own personal choice and creative rendering of a subject through Byzantine aesthetics.

In my hands, Byzantine art is neither static nor limited. I make it my own — flexible, alive, expressive. What changes is mine — the subject I choose, the inspiration that moves me, my view of how the subject should be recreated, the colour palette that suits my vision.

Every image here is the result of my own creative choice. I do not repeat the Byzantine tradition. I weave it into my own voice.
